Phill Russman's July PPG fly-in ranked as a major success as 15+ PPG and free flight pilots converged on La Salina at Baja Seasons and Bajabrent's B-4 beachclub.  Organized by Phill, Bob Armond  www.PARATOYS.com , Jeff Haman and Bajabrent a group of new pilots flew together and received instruction during this well organized event. Other pros like Mike Purdy, Jeff Haman, and Steve Tustison were on hand to provide in "sage" advice while Phill conducted intense instruction in all areas of PPG flight.  Pilots like Warren Miller came all the way from New Jersey to participate in the event.

AFTER the main event, Phill stuck around a couple days to fly free-flight with Bajabrent and Emily ( a true blue hip girl pilot---who hiked the ridge twice in one day and flew to bajabrent's beach front).  Phil and Bajabrent shredded thermals during 3 incredible flights, to be topped off by a FULL MOON FLIGHT  where Phil, Brent  and Emily launced an hour after sunset over a moonlit ridge for a sledder to Bajabrent's roadside LZ. Thanks goes out to the 4th member of the Pilitos de Baja Luna, Dan Schooner, a new PPG pilot and crew member for driving and helping Bajabrent in the dark launch as the 3rd pilot.  Unfortunately Emily was unable to photograph Bajabrent's full moon wingovers....OH WELL....guess that's Phil's job for next month!!!

EVERYONE, THIS WEEKEND got something they wanted. PPG guys got two awesome flying days;  Students got excellent second to none instruction; Emily got her fullmoon flight; Dan PPG'd to 1000 above and beyond; Phil scored 3 freeflights and ONE motor flight in one day and Bajabrent got an opportunity to work with some of the best PPG guys in this part of the country...don't miss the next one!
